Marketing Events Coordinator
Location: Galleria in office
Salary: $60k-80k + benefits

Role Description

The Marketing Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, and executing marketing events. Day-to-day tasks may include event marketing, communication with attendees and vendors, providing excellent customer service, and executing event planning and management strategies.

The ideal candidate will excel at building relationships, working in fast-paced environments, and connecting with a diverse range of individuals daily. Success in this role requires exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and vendors, conducting market research to deliver results that grow the base for different services.

DUTIES

  • Working under the direction of the Marketing Director, the Events Coordinator plans and implements a year-round calendar of special events for the firm.
  • Plan and coordinate all events while fostering positive interactions with customers
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when managing information, ensuring its accurate and responsible handling.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success metrics and uncover opportunities for improvement. Understand the requirements for each event including pre and post event needs
  • Responsible for event logistics as well as:
  • Detail menus & floorplans & contracts
  • Review staffing and staff assignments
  • Manage all event operations (preparing venue.)
  • Do final checks on the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Ideally proven experience as an event coordinator
  • A proven track record of organizing successful events
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent vendor management skills
  • Knowledge of basic recruitment practices
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Well-organized with multi-tasking skills
  • Able to handle stress and remain calm
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Travel to Houston and Austin as needed
  • Comfortable working with executives and taking direction and feedback from management

Qualifications

  • Event Marketing, Event Planning, and Event Management skills
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Experience with coordinating and executing successful events
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Planning, Communications, or a related field
