Contract Position Details: Due to the cyclical nature of insurance claims (e.g., storms, disasters, and major events), this is a contract position . It offers flexibility and the opportunity to develop specialized skills in insurance law while working on challenging and rewarding cases.
Key Responsibilities: - Draft and file legal documents, including petitions, motions, and discovery responses
- Conduct legal research and case analysis for insurance-related matters
- Assist in case management and strategy development
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies
- Participate in settlement negotiations and litigation preparation
Ideal Candidate: - Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law in Texas
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
- Passionate about insurance law and advocating for clients
- Prior exposure to litigation or insurance claims is a plus but not required—comprehensive training will be provided
