Job Description: As a Senior Criminal Defense Attorney at a client's law firm, you will play a critical role in defending clients in criminal cases, primarily involving firearm or self-defense-related charges. You will provide expert legal research, draft important legal documents, and represent clients across various legal proceedings while advising them on compliance and regulatory matters.
Responsibilities:
- Defend clients in criminal cases involving firearm or self-defense related charges.
- Conduct legal research on constitutional law, federal and state firearm regulations.
- Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and negotiations.
- Advise clients on compliance with firearm laws, licensing, and self-defense claims.
- Collaborate with colleagues and experts on case strategy and legal analysis.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in criminal defense, constitutional law, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of federal and state firearm laws and Second Amendment jurisprudence.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage cases independently and represent clients in court.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
Salary: DOE (Dependent on Experience)
Additional Information: This position offers a hybrid working arrangement. While it is remote, the attorney needs to be licensed in Pennsylvania. After an initial learning period concerning our internal internet systems, the position will be primarily remote.
