Land Use / Municipal Law Associate Attorney (Hybrid)

Location: New Providence, NJ

Salary: $125,000 - 150,000 Depending on Experience

Responsibilities

• Working alongside Partners on all aspects of litigation cases and meeting with clients
• Drafting briefs and motions
• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating redevelopment agreements
• Preparing and analyzing proposals
• Researching and analyzing case law
• Attending union negotiations and school board meetings
• Tracking own billable hours

Requirements

• JD degree from an ABA accredited law school and admitted in New Jersey
• 3+ years practicing New Jersey land use and/or municipal law
• Transactional experience
• Land use/planning board appearance experience
• Experience with local housing law
• Personable and well-rounded with a strong work ethic
• Conscientious and humble with outstanding communication skills
• An ability to take and appreciate constructive feedback

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience through a Judicial Clerkship
• Litigation experience
• Clio and West Law experience
