Arevna is collaborating with a leading biotech company to hire a Director of AI who will lead efforts to harness AI/ML models for analyzing genomics datasets, including RNA-seq and single-cell RNA sequencing. Your work will drive innovation in decoding biological systems, identifying therapeutic targets, and advancing precision medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize AI/ML algorithms, particularly foundation models, integrating genomic data for applications such as biomarker discovery, therapeutic target identification, and disease classification.
- Build scalable software and reusable AI/ML tools for the analysis and interpretation of large-scale genomic datasets.
- Collaborate with biologists, clinicians, and data scientists to identify research questions and create tailored machine-learning solutions in genomics.
- Stay updated on advancements in genomics, single-cell technologies, and AI/ML, and propose innovative approaches.
- Publish research in top-tier journals and actively contribute to the scientific community.
- Education:
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent MS/BS with additional experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and genomic data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Extensive experience with RNA-seq, single-cell RNA sequencing, and other high-throughput sequencing technologies.
Preferred Experience:
- Publications in top journals/conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ISMB).
- Experience with multi-omics data integration and predictive modeling for biological systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory and ethical AI considerations in healthcare and genomics.
