As an Actuarial Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting senior actuaries in providing consulting services to clients. You will assist with the development of actuarial models, data analysis, reporting, and the preparation of recommendations on risk, pricing, and other actuarial matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering, cleaning, and analyzing client data to support actuarial models, including the development of pricing, reserving, and risk models.
- Contribute to the preparation of client reports and presentations, clearly communicating actuarial findings, methodologies, and recommendations.
- Conduct research on actuarial best practices, industry trends, and regulatory updates, ensuring methodologies align with industry standards.
- Support the calculation of key actuarial metrics, such as reserves, premiums, claims experience, and liabilities.
- Participate in client meetings and assist in addressing client queries under the guidance of senior team members.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- A strong desire to pursue actuarial exams (preferably passed 1-2 exams) with an interest in continuing professional development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, MoSes, or R) is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex concepts to clients and team members.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively while meeting deadlines.
