My amazing client is seeking an experienced HR Specialist to oversee their payroll, benefits, and leave of absence for their team. An HR and Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing using Paycom. This role involves handling employee inquiries about payroll and benefits, including leaves of absence, and facilitating a seamless benefits enrollment process. Direct Hire / Exempt
Location: Richmond, Ca (Onsite)
Salary expectations: $110,000 to $135,000 (DOE)
MUST be Fluent Spanish (verbal and written)
Job Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing : Handle bi-weekly payroll via Paycom, including overtime, wage garnishments, bonuses, manual payments, rate adjustments, tax filings, and timecard audits.
- Benefits Management : Oversee benefits enrollment, address employee questions, assist with claims, and administer pay structures, benefit programs, and 401(k) plans.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, especially California labor laws and tax regulations.
- Employee Support : Promote a positive workplace culture, address employee concerns, provide HR policy guidance, and process leaves of absence.
- HRIS Management : Update and manage HR information systems for reporting and analysis, and maintain accurate employee records.
- Data Analysis : Analyze HR data and market trends to recommend improvements in payroll and benefits practices.
- Continuous Improvement : Drive changes to improve the payroll process.
Key Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience in HR and payroll, particularly with Paycom.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, CPP) preferred
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and payroll software.
- Familiarity with 401(k) systems.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and multi-state tax regulations.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
