The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for steel fabrication and erection projects. This role requires a deep understanding of steel construction processes, materials, and costs, as well as strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses specific to steel fabrication and erection.
• Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and reports to project stakeholders.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
• Monitor and update estimates as project details change, and new information becomes available.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Estimator in the steel fabrication and erection industry.
• Strong knowledge of steel construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
