JURISolutions is seeking a midlevel associate attorney for an exciting opportunity with our oil & gas industry client’s Projects & Technology - Global Safety and Environmental team in Houston as an environmental legal counsel secondee. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental regulatory compliance and enforcement, particularly within the United States and preferably in Texas. Experience in US and state air regulatory compliance is highly recommended, with additional familiarity in CERCLA/Superfund, offshore oil and gas regulations, and safety regulations considered a plus. This role will primarily involve providing legal support to various US business units, and engaging in select global safety and environmental program initiatives.
This assignment is expected to last approximately six months, with a flexible part-time schedule of around 20 hours per week. This hybrid role allows for a combination of in-office and remote work, although candidates should be prepared to work in the Houston office for two days a week during the first month to facilitate the onboarding process. The anticipated start date for this position is March 24, 2025.
