Job Summary:

We have partnered with a private equity sponsor and the current CEO, who is transitioning to an Executive Chairman, to find the next CEO. The Company is a field-based service business in Houston that is performing well so the plan is to polish up a few things and take them through a sale in the next 18-24 months. There will be an opportunity to increase sales organically and also with an acquisition or two.


As CEO, you will play a critical role driving revenues and leading the operations of the business. You must be a commercially driven executive with operations leadership and have a track record of growing revenues in blue-collar services businesses; ideally at a PE backed organization. If you have gone through a sell-side exit it is a big plus.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall growth strategy to expand market share within existing channels and with current customer base.
  • Identify and pursue new customers within existing and new markets throughout Texas; this should include acquisition opportunities.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization.
  • Set company revenue and profit goals by division.
  • Manage and motivate a capable set of functional leaders to achieve revenue and profitability growth objectives.
  • Utilize available resources and financial statements to determine progress in achieving objectives; revise objectives and plans in accordance with current and/or changing conditions.
  • Identify and improve on operational deficiencies; continue to professionalize the business as it scales.
  • Communicate with the Board on an ongoing basis and present to Board on a quarterly basis.



Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience with increasing responsibilities with 5+ years of executive management experience.
  • Experience leading a $50M - 200M blue-collar field service service business selling B2C and B2B. Examples include roofing, HVAC, lawn care, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Track record of robust sales growth and expanding profitability along with improving operational performance within a field-based service business.
  • Strong preference for a proven general athlete with exceptional drive, passion, and history of results.
  • Superior business acumen and P&L management experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, motivate, and retain exceptional talent.
  • Prior experience successfully leading and growing a private equity backed business, and ideally leading an exit, highly desired.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to set and exceed exceptional revenue and profit targets.
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, and negotiating skills.
  • Energetic, positive, driven, and proactive.
  • Strategic entrepreneurial mindset with a roll up your sleeves mentality.
  • Being fluent in Spanish is a major plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA would be a plus.
