Our client, a global law firm recognised for its exceptional legal services, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor & Employment Associate to join their team in Dallas. With a strong focus on counseling and advising employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, they help clients enhance workplace efficiency and mitigate the risk of litigation.
Responsibilities:
- Defend clients in employment-related litigation, including employment discrimination cases, EEOC/DOL investigations, wage and hour claims, and class action lawsuits.
- Counsel employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws to prevent disputes and increase operational efficiency.
- Draft and review workplace policies, employee manuals, and personnel procedures tailored to client business goals.
- Represent management interests in labor relations, including negotiating collective bargaining agreements and responding to union organising campaigns.
- Design and implement compliance strategies and customised training programs for supervisory and non-supervisory staff.
- Collaborate with attorneys across disciplines such as employee benefits, business law, real estate, and healthcare to address multifaceted client issues.
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of experience in employment-related litigation and class action defense.
- Proven ability to handle complex employment discrimination cases, administrative agency investigations, and wage/hour claims.
- Superior academic credentials, research, and writing skills.
- Experience drafting workplace policies and counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance.
- Admission to the Texas Bar.
- The ability to work from our Dallas office (hybrid arrangements available).
