- Proficient in CMM programming software (PC-DMIS for windows). Prepare CMM programs as required to CAD data and or prints for component parts and assemblies
- Utilize the programs to complete dimensional inspections using the coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
- Performs first off and in-process reports and ballooning of prints/drawings
- Determine part inspection requirements from internal or customer drawings.
- Log and maintain inspection data as needed for evaluating and reporting.
- Ensure the part inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level.
- Performs layout of checking fixtures
- Performs any other layout according to the layout request, issues reports
- Reviews CMM reports with responsible product
- Performs gauge studies, GR & R’s, MSA (attribute and variables)
- Monitor gauge management system, ensure gauges are calibrated/verified as per schedule & gauge control procedures
- Ability to develop work instructions for CMM set-up and operation for various programs
- Assist Quality Engineer or Quality Manager to define and deliver responses to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality
- Maintain documentation records and data on tests performed
- Recommend quality control solutions to complex problems and implements corrective actions
- Set-up or build special fixturing to facilitate testing and /or evaluation as needed
- Determine conformance of products based on data received from CMM and in-process gage inspection
- Review and monitoring of Infinity software data and provide SPC and capability analysis to Quality Manager, Area Managers, Plant Manager for corrective actions and continuous improvements
- Support all ISO 9001:2015 Quality objectives.
- Supervise the CMM operators and Quality Coordinators within the gage and CMM labs
- Actively participate in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Process especially in Gauge and Fixture design/verification

- Qualifications
- Minimum of five year’s experience required
- Must have knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other documents.
- Must have knowledge and ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Must be able to be flexible with a team attitude.
- Must be able to stand for eight hours or more at a time.
- Ability to multi-task and deal with multiple requests at once.
- Prioritizing skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Responsible, organized, dependable, and punctual.
- CMM experience (PC-DMIS SOFTWARE),CAD.
- Variety of inspection tools (caliper, micrometers, indicators, air gages, optical comparators and other gauge methods and techniques.
