Job Title: Site Manager/Supervisor
Reports To: General Superintendent
The Site Manager/Supervisor is responsible for providing overall leadership and oversight for on-site construction operations. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with subcontractors, project and design teams, and building staff to maintain seamless construction operations during regular and off-hours. This role requires flexibility to work nights as part of the project schedule.
Requirements
- Provide leadership for all nighttime construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular safety checks, enforce strict safety protocols, and ensure compliance with commercial codes, fire codes, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and reports, documenting progress, issues, personnel, and any adjustments to the schedule.
- Ensure the work area is cleaned, organized, and ready for seamless business operations each morning.
- Quickly identify and resolve any on-site issues to prevent delays or disruptions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, workers, and the project management team during nighttime hours.
- Oversee inspections, perform quality assurance tasks, and ensure all work meets high standards.
- Ensure continuity and clarity in information handovers between shifts and between daytime and nighttime teams.
- Open the job site at the start of the shift and secure it at the end of the night.
- Support and guide less experienced staff to foster team growth.
- Participate in bidding, budgeting, and obtaining necessary permits
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualification:
- 5-7 years in construction supervision or as a superintendent, preferably in commercial renovations, interior fit-outs, or hospitality projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, safety regulations, and local building codes.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage schedules, delegate tasks, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work on time while ensuring safety and compliance.
- Experience with Procore (training available) and proficiency in maintaining detailed project documentation.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to off-hours construction challenges.
