Job Description

This position will have management responsibility for Independent Agency Group financial planning and analysis. The FP&A Director will partner with the cross-functional management team on developing strategies to achieve financial performance targets. Candidates should have a proven track record of success in financial management roles of increasing responsibility. Specific Responsibilities Include:

Connecting strategy to financial plans and effectively leading a team focused on delivering business performance reporting and insights, expense management opportunities, and forecasting and planning modernization.

Acting as a financial advisor and influencer to the Independent Agency Group Leadership team to optimize growth and profit across segments.

Continuously advancing the transformation of processes, reporting and planning technology enhancements, and solutions delivery to build data-driven and complex ad hoc financial forecasts.

Proactively identifying and leading the execution on high-impact opportunities to reduce the expense ratio, both for Independent Agency Group-specific and shared services costs.

Building strong relationships and partner closely with key stakeholders across the organization including Independent Agency Group Leadership, Corporate Finance, Actuarial, and other cross-functional partners to achieve shared objectives.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA considered a plus

Minimum of 10 years of FP&A experience with progressive levels of responsibility.

P&C insurance industry experience strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment and influence peers within the broader Finance team and across the business.

Superior analytical skills with the ability to clearly link financial results to performance drivers and resolve complex financial issues.

Results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to deliver and work effectively under pressure.

Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly/concisely convey complex financial issues.
