Our challenge

We are looking for a highly skilled senior Lead Java developer to join our company. In this role, Candidate will design, create, and implement various Java-based solutions for the business that will range from mobile applications to database programming.


Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).


Our Challenge:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Lead Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Java development and be capable of leading a team of developers in delivering high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications, while also mentoring junior developers and ensuring adherence to best practices.


The role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of Java applications and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java following industry best practices and standards.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure the implementation of best coding practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and user experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Java development.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the technical vision of the project.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables through thorough testing and validation.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for existing applications.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of core Java concepts.
  • Proven experience in leading development teams and managing projects.
  • Proficient in Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (Angular, React) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE) are a plus.
