Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and highly skilled PL/SQL Developer with expertise in ETL processes and Data Warehouse development.

As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust PL/SQL code, creating ETL pipelines, and ensuring the efficient flow of data in our data warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

PL/SQL Development:

Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages to support data processing requirements.

Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data across different databases and platforms.

Ensure the PL/SQL code is efficient, scalable, and maintainable.

ETL Process Management:

Develop, implement, and maintain ETL processes to extract data from source systems, transform it according to business rules, and load it into the data warehouse.

Work closely with data architects and business analysts to understand data requirements and design efficient ETL workflows.

Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure smooth and uninterrupted data flows.

Data Warehouse Development:

Design, implement, and maintain the data warehouse schema (star/snowflake models, facts, and dimensions).

Perform data quality checks to ensure accurate and consistent data in the data warehouse.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements.

Performance Tuning & Optimization:

Optimize PL/SQL queries for performance and efficiency.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in ETL processes and SQL queries.

Documentation & Reporting:

Document PL/SQL code, ETL workflows, and data transformation processes.

Provide regular status updates and progress reports to stakeholders.

Collaboration & Problem-Solving:

Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the data warehouse meets business needs.

Resolve any data-related issues and provide solutions to complex data challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in PL/SQL development, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache Nifi, etc.) and Data Warehouse concepts.

Strong understanding of data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema, facts, and dimensions).

Proficiency in SQL and database optimization techniques for performance tuning.

Experience with Oracle databases (preferably) or other relational databases.

Familiarity with data integration processes and tools.

Solid understanding of data transformation, data cleansing, and data validation techniques.

Experience with large-scale data systems and ability to troubleshoot issues related to ETL workflows.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.

Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for ETL automation.

Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
