Douglas Dynamics has an opening for a Shipper/Receiver. The Shipper/Receiver is expected to be motivated by goals set for the team, cooperative and willing to work at any task. The position is available on 1st shift. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. The position is through an employment agency with an opportunity for direct hire.
Starting pay is $17.50 per hour.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Receives and ships incoming and outgoing product and delivers product to appropriate areas.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

• Move material/pallets manually or with a forklift.
• Load daily outgoing product on common carriers.
• Verify all product unloaded/loaded for count accuracy and good quality.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Assist other shipper/receivers when needed.
• Perform 5S activities.
• Work as a team member and on your own.
• Load various types of trucks.
• Operate a variety of forklifts safely in a fast paced, congestive environment.
• Comprehend and process required paperwork. i.e., packing slips, pick tickets, BOL etc.
• Perform all other duties as required.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some forklift experience
• Basic computer skills
