Prysmian Group Job Description - Claremont, NC Telecom Plant
Position: Shipping Associate
Reports To: Logistics Manager via Shipping Team Leader
Position Description:

  • Meet or exceed production goals as established for the shift worked.
  • Maintain attendance as defined in current published employee handbook.
  • Ensure all products meet requirements as defined by the Plant's Quality Management Systems.
  • Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
  • Compliance to all operating procedures.
  • Accountable for final packaging of quality product. Understanding of the SAP operating system to a level that allows he/she to maintain transactional integrity in daily role
  • Ability to obtain/retain forklift certification
  • Work to maintain 5S/safety standards.
  • Accurate loading of finished, packaged product.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.
Education:
Required: High School diploma or GED.
Experience:
Preferred: Ability to complete cross training OJT for Cutline Associate Position in a timely manner.
Experience in cable manufacturing or handling/packaging/loading of fiber optic cable.
Skills/Attributes:
  • Ability to safely and adequately package and load fiber optic cable
  • Discipline to load with consistent best practices
