Responsibilities - Performs occupational therapy assessment procedures utilizing techniques consistent with the patient's diagnosis. Develops individualized treatment plan based on evaluation findings.
- Provides detailed and concise documentation of evaluation, treatment, interim reports, and discharge evaluations within departmental timelines. Provides all necessary documentation required for on-going patient care.
- Participates in mentoring and training of clinical support staff, new professional staff, and students/volunteers in the aspects of patient care.
- Participates in the development and implementation of departmental performance improvement.
- Participates in the development and implementation of clinical program development.
- Responsible for completing basic occupational therapy competencies in addition to departmental specific competencies.
- Meets productivity expectations for level of care and FTE status
- Utilizes support staff and resources as per general guidance of departmental guidelines.
- Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
- Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
- Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to "service".
Qualifications Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current Licensure or licensure eligible in Occupational Therapy in State of KS
- CPR certified
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- One (1) year experience in job-related environment
