Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts with call
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 3 years of OR experience required; trauma experience required
License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse
Certifications: PALS, BLS & ACLS required
Must-Have:
- BSN is highly desired
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
Job Description:
- Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures.
- Manage department admissions to the operative suite.
- Adhere to standards and appropriate aseptic techniques.
- Consult and coordinate with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans.
- Serve as a communication liaison to patients, families, and members of the operating team.
- Prepare the operating room for patients and surgical procedures.
- Assemble equipment and supplies, ensuring all equipment is functional and supplies/implants are available.
Candidates must be willing to live at least 100 miles away. No orientation hours are required.
