Position Summary: The Med Surg Cardiac Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions on the medical-surgical floor. This role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed. Monitor and document patients' responses to treatment and progress. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions and self-care strategies. Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation. Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving measures as needed. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or cardiac unit. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
