One of Insight Global's large healthcare clients is looking for a dedicated Grant Administrator to join their Research Administration division. This candidate will sit under within their Grant Administration team, who is responsible for maintaining compliance within the organization for external awards, specifically in the federal space. This team works heavily with organizations such as the NIH, DOD & NSF, so the ideal candidate will need excellent communication skills and will need to be comfortable being urgent and assertive when gathering grant requirements.

Day-to-day will entail working to meet heavy/last-minute deadlines, conducting reviews to catch errors, getting warnings cleared with Principal Investigators, and completing overall administrative reviews and proposal submissions.

This is a hybrid role - applicants are expected to occasionally be present at the worksite, but the role will be mostly remote. Hours are flexible, but the Grant Specialist will work an 8-hour shift during typical daytime work hours, Monday-Friday.

Must-Haves:

  • 1+ year of experience specifically in the Grants Administration, compliance and/or federal grants space.
  • Experience specifically with federal grants, preferably from an academic health system.
  • Experience working with federal organizations for grant compliance such as the NIH, HRSA, DOD, and NSF.
  • Experience working with some of the following: Grants.gov, Research.gov, NIH Assist, EBRAP, ERA Commons.
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication skills, comfortable being concise and direct, specifically in the context of working with PIs and additional stakeholders.

Plusses:

  • Experience with all of the above tools.
  • Certified Research Administrator (CRA).
