Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Per Diem JOB SUMMARY The Ultrasound Technologist at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for conducting high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic procedures, providing assistance during medical procedures, offering excellent customer service, and ensuring effective communication with patients, family members, physicians, medical staff, and colleagues. They are required to attend in-services, annual reviews, and educational programs while staying knowledgeable about radiological examination procedures, equipment, and relevant changes in the field. JOB FUNCTIONS Performs high quality/cost effective diagnostic procedures. Assists Physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested/required. Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, medical staff, and NMMC staff members. Attends required in-services, annual review and educational programs. Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations. Stay abreast of changes in Radiology. Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines. Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues. Organize work flow to prevent delays and control cost through appropriate use of supplies. All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education Education Level Education Details Required/Preferred Associate's Degree Graduate of approved school of Ultrasound Technology.
