Certification Details BLS NRP Advanced Fetal Monitoring Job Details A hospital in California is looking for an experienced L&D RN with Antepartum/Post Partum/Couplet care experience for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and CA license. Job Requirements 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery Active California RN license BLS certification NRP certification Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification Schedule Information 12-hour shifts, 7 AM to 7 PM Self-scheduling to some degree Schedules made 30-45 days in advance Weekend requirement: every other weekend Holidays work into permanent staff rotation Unit Specific Information Floating to medsurg or CCU rarely & only if desired Floor specific orientation: 2-3 days Additional Details Unit: L&D, Well-Baby Nursery, Postpartum combined to form one unit beds: 10 beds Ratios: L&D is usually 1 to 1-2, postpartum is 1 to 4 couplet care Common diagnosis: high risk deliveries, drug babies, twin deliveries Must be comfortable running and managing delivery on own Candidates MUST have postpartum and L&D experience
