Volt is immediately hiring an CNC Machinist for a leading manufacturing company in Otay Mesa As a CNC Machinist you will: Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, tables, or sample parts to plan machining operations. Compute dimensions and tolerances; measure and lay out work pieces. Set up, operate, and maintain various machine tools, including CNC tools, for precision machining. Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies using hand and power tools. Verify product dimensions for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Load feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. Maintain specifications by observing various machining operations such as drilling, grooving, and cutting. Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain safe operations. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Document and communicate to maintain continuity among work shifts. Complete production and quality logs to document actions.
