Job Title & Role Description:
As a Staff Accountant at Upward Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, including preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. This position will work heavily in accounts payable, serving as the primary contact for the A/P function but will also be able to contribute to other areas as the company grows.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (Intacct, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong Accounts Payable background
