Breakfast Counter Server – Maritime

Maritime is looking for a friendly and efficient Breakfast Counter Server to join our morning team! Our breakfast service is designed for hotel guests, offering a laid-back yet high-quality experience with quick-service ordering at the counter and QR code pickup.

This role is AM shifts only  and involves ringing in guests, handling pickups, and ensuring smooth, welcoming service. Ideal candidates are personable, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced yet relaxed environment. Prior experience in counter service or hospitality is a plus!

Job Summary


We are seeking a friendly and energetic Counter Server, to join our quick-service/fast-casual breakfast team. You will be responsible for providing an excellent guest experience, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment, and efficiently handling orders. The Counter Server will handle the day-to-day operations of our order counter. Be the welcoming face of our restaurant, where you’ll play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for all guests.


Key Responsibilities

  • Order Processing : Take orders efficiently and handle payments accurately, ensuring a smooth and prompt transaction process for all customers.
  • To-Go Order Management : Monitor incoming to-go orders, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation, and assist in properly packaging orders for pickup or delivery.
  • Cleanliness Maintenance : Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the counter and guest areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Customer Engagement : Answer customer questions regarding the menu and restaurant policies, providing knowledgeable and friendly service to enhance their experience.
  • Issue Resolution : Address any concerns or feedback from customers, ensuring that issues are handled swiftly and to their satisfaction.
  • Team Support : Collaborate with kitchen and back-of-house staff to ensure orders are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant, guest-facing role. 
  • Customer Service : Provide excellent customer support, ensuring each guest feels valued and their needs are met promptly.
  • Communication : Effectively communicate with customers and team members, ensuring clear and positive interactions.
  • Multitasking : Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as taking orders, processing payments, and managing to-go orders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving : Quickly resolve any issues that arise, from customer concerns to operational challenges, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Attention to Detail : Ensure accuracy in order-taking, payment processing, and packaging of to-go orders, minimizing errors.
  • Team Collaboration : Work efficiently with other team members to maintain a seamless and supportive work environment.
