The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) is seeking a passionate and results-driven Development Officer to join our team. This person will play a key role in advancing FCFP’s major and planned giving initiatives. This full-time position is based in North Central Pennsylvania and requires a motivated individual to cultivate new donor relationships while strengthening connections with existing supporters.
The Development Officer will work closely with donors, prospects, professional advisors, and community stakeholders to promote philanthropic opportunities and oversee a portfolio of assigned donors. This role involves conducting at least 100 personal visits annually, developing and executing strategic fundraising plans, and identifying gift prospects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in fund development, preferably in higher education, community service agencies, or public foundations, or five years of experience in sales. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Strong relationship-building skills and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role. Candidates should be highly organized, customer-service oriented, and proficient in donor management databases and fundraising technologies.
Travel within a 60 to 90-mile radius, primarily in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union Counties, is necessary.
