Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, customer-focused leader to join our team as an Event Sales Manager. To be successful in this role, this individual must be self-motivated, demonstrate a thorough knowledge of event execution, food and beverage and space optimization to drive conference revenue.

Your Role :

  • Is responsible for the achievement of budgeted banquet revenue inclusive of food, beverage, room rental, audio visual and misc. revenue.
  • Book events and weddings from assigned areas.
  • Rework and maintain old account files and solicit and develop new accounts.
  • Respond to all correspondence from assigned areas.
  • Set-up site inspections and follow through.
  • Maintain a working relationship with departments interacting with all groups.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes, which would affect operations.
  • Maintain accurate forecast and recap information.
  • Set-up and conduct site inspections for entire property.
  • Meet catering sales goals as outlined by the Director of Sales and Marketing on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Works closely with leadership to ensure group food and beverage contribution is in alignment with budgeted expectations.
  • Participates as needed daily, weekly, and monthly meetings as required.
  • Works with the Banquet Manager to ensure all space is set up as required.
  • Ensures conference guests get proper support and setup of all technology needs.
  • Completes additional tasks that may be assigned by senior management.



Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should have min 3-5 years of progressive experience in a quality mid to high-volume operation in a Full-Service hotel as an Event Sales Manager.
  • Bachelor's degree a plus but not required.

Please be advised, we are a large full-service hotel and as such this position requires extended periods on your feet with frequent long walks around the internal areas of the hotel along with considerable physical activity on a continuous basis, up to and including entire shifts.
