Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Attorney with 5-12 years of experience in Personal Injury Defense to join this dynamic and highly regarded law firm. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing litigation matters and delivering top-tier legal counsel to clients. This role offers the opportunity to handle challenging cases in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury defense matters from inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and prepare case strategies.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Engage in client communication, providing updates and legal counsel throughout the case.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
- Negotiate settlements and effectively advocate for clients in and out of the courtroom.
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting personal injury defense.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
- 5-12 years of experience in personal injury defense litigation.
- Demonstrated success managing a caseload independently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Trial experience and familiarity with all phases of litigation.
- Experience working with insurance companies or corporate clients.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively.
