Project Manager – Architect


Location: Houston, TX

Level: Mid to Senior

License: Licensed Architect or in the process of obtaining licensure


About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager – Architect to join our growing team in Houston. This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior-level architect who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about leading projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry , strong project management skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage architectural projects from design through construction, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Oversee project documentation , including drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with local building codes and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, engineers, and contractors to align project goals and expectations.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers and architects within the team.
  • Conduct site visits and construction administration , addressing RFIs, submittals, and on-site issues.
  • Assist in business development efforts , including proposal writing and client presentations.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, building codes, and sustainability practices to incorporate best practices into designs.


Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
  • Licensed Architect (or actively pursuing licensure) in Texas.
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design and project management within the AEC industry.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software (SketchUp, Enscape, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes .
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with education(K-12), commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or institutional projects .
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles (LEED accreditation a plus).
  • Strong background in construction administration and contract documents.
