Job Description of Estimator:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management and project management principles, as well as the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver precise pricing that aligns with project goals.

Job Responsibilities of Estimator:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on blueprints, specifications, and site visits.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers to review project requirements and scope.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for efficient calculations.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for estimates.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Requirements of Estimator:

• 7+ years commercial construction experience in restaurants, large & small retail, car washes, fitness clubs, and hospitality.
• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction site operations.
• Familiarity with construction management principles and project management methodologies.
• Proficient in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and cost control.
• Excellent negotiation skills for contract discussions with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to stakeholders.
