The ideal candidate will bring at least 2 years of legal assistant experience and will provide support to their attorneys in a variety of legal matters. The position offers a collaborative work environment and a manageable work schedule, ensuring work-life balance with no workday exceeding 7.5 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with preparing, drafting, and reviewing legal documents such as motions, pleadings, contracts, discovery responses, and more.
- Organize and manage case files, ensuring timely filing and document retrieval.
- Conduct legal research and gather necessary information to support case preparation.
- Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and court dates.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and other legal professionals, maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Assist in trial preparation by preparing trial exhibits, witness lists, and deposition summaries.
- Prepare billing and time entries, ensuring accurate recording of billable hours.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2+ years of legal assistant or paralegal experience.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, document preparation, and legal research.
