The studio is located just outside Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, offering on-site parking, nearby to unique local eateries, public transit, easy access to I-65/70, and catty-corner from Starbucks for your caffeine fix.
Job Description:
We are growing our team of talented and dedicated professionals and are currently seeking an experienced, full-time Designer to join our studio and play a pivotal role in the progression and success of our firm. This position exposes designers to a variety of projects, including branding (e.g.: logo design, brand guidelines, websites), signage (e.g.: assessments, wayfinding strategies, design), and exhibits (e.g.: research, interpretive, structure design). The role demands proficiency in translating a concept into a three-dimensional environment by creating illustrations and elevations in the appropriate scale(s). RLR designers possess a deep understanding of materials and techniques to facilitate the proper coordination for design intent and execution.
Hours & Pay:
This is a full-time position with pay based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in all phases of project including programming, conceptual, design development through construction administration.
• Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with colleagues, clients, and vendors at all levels within the organization.
• Capability to stay on task while balancing multiple projects and deliverables at a time.
• Work efficiently and thoroughly on assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate would be someone who can actively participate in generating and executing distinctive graphics across both 3D and 2D platforms for our clients. We are in search of a team member who harbors a profound enthusiasm for design, consistently endeavors to enhance their skills, and showcases a versatile expertise spanning creative and technical domains. This person should be an extraordinarily motivated creative problem solver, skilled at tackling intricate problems, and capable of effectively managing a diverse array of projects and clients. Furthermore, they should possess a sharp grasp of print layout and grid systems, as well as expertise in organizing publications and documents crucial in the visual communication industry. In addition, the successful candidate will have the following skillsets:
· Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3-years’ experience* working in a designer position (graphic or interior design; architecture, including LA; or related fields)
· Ability to not only create designs , but to articulate the rationale behind the design for presentations to clients
· Possess a basic level of project management skills; including communication, stakeholder engagement, and scheduling to plan, organize, and monitor project activities
· Must be able to read architectural plans and shop drawings
· While our studio’s process is collaborative and requires strong communication skills , the applicant must be able to work independently as well
Technology & Tools:
The studio utilizes a variety of programs to ensure our projects are delivered properly.
Applicants should have expertise and competence in:
· Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc)
· Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with the following is a plus:
· SignAgent
· Sketchup
· AutoCAD
· Slack
· Miro
