Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary New Jersey Education Market Leader to spearhead our growth and success in the education sector. This role is a unique opportunity to lead transformative projects, cultivate strong client relationships, and position DRG Architects as a trusted collaborator for K-12 and higher education facilities across New Jersey. This role also provides significant opportunities for professional growth, including a clear path to achieving a Principal position within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a growth strategy for New Jersey’s education market.
- Serve as a thought leader, shaping DRG Architects’ approach to educational design.
Client Development:
- Build and maintain relationships with school districts, higher education institutions, and stakeholders.
- Lead business development efforts, including proposals and presentations.
Project Leadership:
- Oversee the design and delivery of education projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, budgets, and schedules.
- Act as Principal-in-Charge for major projects, upholding quality and technical excellence.
Team Mentorship:
- Inspire, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Industry Engagement:
- Represent DRG Architects by attending industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Share thought leadership through presentations, case studies, and publications.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Licensed Architect with significant experience in K-12 and/or higher education facility design.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- 10+ years of project management experience, including large-scale educational projects.
- 10+ years of design team management experience, focused on K-12
- Proven success in business development and marketing within the education sector.
- Expertise in sustainable design practices and familiarity with educational facility standards.
- LEED/WELL certifications are preferred but not required.
