We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team in the Power Generation industry. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and a strong understanding of power generation processes and equipment. The role involves supervising power plant overhaul/outage planning and execution, leading crews, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and closing of power generation projects.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Ensure that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
- Use project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans, and money spent.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination or hands on field work in the Power Generation industry.
- Strong understanding of power generation processes and equipment such as with steam/combustion turbines, HRSG, boilers, valves, BOP equipment, generators, exciters, auxiliary equipment, grounding, medium/low voltage, transformers, and P&ID
- Proficiency in project management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in industrial environments, including power plants.
- Physically fit to climb turbine decks, enter boilers, and wear personal protective equipment.
