Job Description

Job Title : Director of Commissions and Incentive Compensation (Interim to Hire)

Location : Remote (PST Time Zone)

Salary : $73/hr to $87/hr (W2 basis), with overtime compensation

Job Type : Full-Time, Interim to Hire

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Director of Commissions and Incentive Compensation to join our team on an interim to hire basis. This remote role will report to senior leadership and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of incentive compensation and commissions within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in incentive compensation, commission structures, and system implementations, ideally within the software or SaaS industry. Experience with Xactly or similar incentive compensation software is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of commissions and incentive compensation programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and sales strategies.
  • Manage the accurate processing and reporting of commission payouts, including reconciling discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance, and HR to develop and maintain effective compensation plans and incentive models.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of incentive compensation systems, particularly Xactly or similar platforms.
  • Ensure all incentive compensation plans and practices comply with legal regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance compensation program effectiveness and drive business performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to incentive compensation and commissions to ensure the programs are effective and motivating.
  • Support the business with accurate and timely reporting of compensation data, including sales performance and payout analysis.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the compensation structure.

Qualifications :

  • At least 7 years of experience in commissions and incentive compensation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in incentive compensation systems, with experience in system implementations and optimization (preferably with Xactly or similar tools).
  • Experience in the software or SaaS industry is highly preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of compensation structures, commission models, and sales performance metrics.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership, Sales, Finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Additional Information :

  • This is a full-time, interim to hire position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
  • The role will be remote, but the candidate must be available during PST working hours.
