Senior Finance Manager


Compensation : Up to approximately $170K base salary, plus annual bonus, plus equity (significant, valuable stock grants and RSU’s), plus benefits (see below).

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and partnering with multiple cross-functional teams overseeing FP&A in support of Business Units worldwide, as well as manufacturing R&D, Sales and Marketing.


The Senior Finance Manager will add measurable value with a clear sightline to growth opportunities for the businesses as well as associated financial risks. He or she will lean into the business and cover a broad range of financial duties which zero-in on key performance indicators. By translating and disseminating KPI’s, various business scenarios and strategies, the Senior Finance Manager will help tell a story about where the business is and where it can and should go.


In the end, this proactive approach of utilizing broad-based business analytics, traditional FP&A and staff engagement, leadership and mentoring will lead to the best possible results for the organization, supported employees and customers alike.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in driving the performance of the company in a broad range of operational and strategic areas:
  • Participate in shaping the current and future analytical and presentation/reporting process for the business as well as create an impact on sales teams, R&D and multiple business units.
  • Lead key analytics analysis for the company both domestically and internationally as well as heavily participate in all major corporate initiatives.
  • Provide analysis to produce and analyze KPI’s which will lead to achieving company goals and increasing company revenue.
  • Take a leadership role in planning and executing activities with other functions and stakeholders through a well-conceived and executed strategic planning process.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Work closely with leadership for budgeting and forecasting as well as annual planning. Identify and execute on opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage efficient distribution of financial information and other business intelligence essential to the company goals and objectives.
  • Accountable for accurate and on-time planning, reporting and forecasting.
  • Lead analysis on product performance and adoption to drive insights.
  • Understand and highlight daily/weekly/quarterly trends.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing business unit data to build insights about customers, products and competitors.
  • Synthesize financial impacts on the business and provide business analytics to drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth.
  • Support sales and marketing teams on medium and long-term planning including revenue potential, product focus, resourcing and pricing.
  • Strategically evaluate market opportunities and work with country specific cross-functional teams and leaders to drive growth in the business.
  • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics.
  • Prepare periodic forecasts to update management on projections, determine significant variance from plan and provide explanations.
  • Other special projects.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant financial analysis experience including at least 5 years in a Leadership role in a large corporate setting
  • Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
  • Previous experience analyzing key performance indicators in a sophisticated environment
  • Expert level of Excel and advanced financial modeling experience required
  • Experience preparing presentations for executive leadership teams
  • Prior experience working in a matrixed organization which requires collaboration, juggling multiple priorities, internal customers and internal collaboration
  • Ability to foster cooperative relationships with peer leaders, management, and support personnel
  • Proven track record of reporting achievement of strategic objectives
  • Prior experience at a best in class, mid to large sized company/division – Business Unit support highly preferred.
  • Must be results driven, solution oriented, focused and motivated with excellent decision making capabilities
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Detail oriented but also have the ability to think strategically and understand the big picture.
