Hedge Fund Operations Associate

Boston based Hedge Fund is looking to add an Operations Associate to the team. This role will report directly to the Director of Operations, with set opportunities for professional development, growth, and promotion.

This is a great role for an individual with 1-5 years of related experience (or an internship in Asset Management) looking for opportunity to be involved in Data Analytics, Systems, Financial Reporting, and Compliance within a company that has a strong reputation both locally and within the broader Financial Services marketplace.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors overall data administration and daily service support functions of investment operations (account set up and maintenance, check processing)
• Identifies and recommends process improvements in operations and administrative functions to enhance productivity and profitability for the firm
• Prepares Financial Reports, and is responsible for Cash Reconciliations as well as Balance Sheet preparation
• Monitors account opening process- verify paperwork is completed correctly and relay information that is outstanding to planning department/advisor
• Receives and forwards checks and related paperwork to investment operations
• Monitor and maintain systems, provide recommendations for upgrades, integrations, and new systems implementations
• Discusses tax consequences, costs and fees
• Corresponds with clients to handle advisory related service issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems or related field
• 0-3 years of experience in Wealth Management Operations
• Interest in growth, and professional development
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
• Experience with Excel, and comfort with large data sets is a plus
