Senior Electrical Estimator

Client Details:

Established Electrical Contractor with a track record of building high-end retail and commercial interiors projects throughout New York City and Westchester is looking to bring on a strong Senior Electrical Estimator. They have a growing pipeline of projects and are continuing to bring on exceptional talent. The Senior Electrical Estimator will play a crucial role in generating accurate project bids by analyzing material and labor costs. The position involves working with detailed takeoffs to ensure precise pricing and collaborating with clients throughout the bidding and project phases.

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret project blueprints and specifications to create thorough takeoffs and estimate electrical construction costs, including materials and labor.
• Provide post-bid support by negotiating project scopes, costs, and offering value engineering or adjustments as needed.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and address any project-specific concerns.
• Coordinate with the construction team during the budgeting phase and throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage multiple project estimates simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal Senior Electrical Estimator | Commercial Construction will have:

• Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction estimator, with a proven track record in successfully estimating commercial projects.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in New York.
