Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of various modalities of medical equipment to include Patient and Vital Signs Monitors, EKG machines, AEDs, Professional Defibrillators, and Infusion Pumps. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge and equipment repair will be crucial in ensuring the proper functioning of biomedical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of medical equipment
- Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure accurate performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, utilizing your mechanical knowledge
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and document repairs
- Collaborate with manufacturers' representatives (OEM) for technical support and assistance
- Provide field service support for on-site repairs and maintenance within a limited range for nearby facilities
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
- Utilize hand tools and specialized testing equipment to perform repairs
Skills:
- Strong technical skills in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair
- Solid understanding of computer hardware and software applications related to biomedical equipment
- Knowledge of OEM guidelines and specifications for equipment maintenance and repair
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose issues accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and manufacturers' representatives
