Acara Solutions is looking for a Product Introduction Engineer with our partner located out in Pittsburgh, PA who specializes in transportation manufacturing.
Here is what you will get:
Pay Rate: $90,000 to $95,000/year
Shift: 7am - 4pm or 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
Here is what you will do:
- As a Product Introduction Engineer, you will work to define and deliver Testing and Commissioning procedures, tools, and facilities in accordance with customer acceptance criteria.
- You will work on performance measurement which includes ensuring our test procedures are safe, monitoring the amount of rework based on test procedures with respect to the allocated budget, and ensuring that the work is completed on time.
- Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a clear understanding of the Customer Acceptance Criteria
- Managing the development and supply of test procedures, facilities, and tools for RS sites and depots
- Ensuring that test procedures and tools configuration are managed during the project lifecycle
- Defining and optimizing the Standard Operating Procedures with reference time and monitor deviations
- Implementing REX (Return of Experience) from Test & Commissioning phase of the project
- Supporting the T&C Operations team, for the implementation and execution of the Testing Procedures
- Ensuring T&C procedures comply with EHS Policy and Site EHS Management System
- Participating in EHS activities on shop floor
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning of Electrical, Control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field is required
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Good knowledge of IT Tools and smart devices
- Familiarity with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements
- Previous work experience in the rail industry and/or specific educational studies in this field is preferred.
- Have a good technical knowledge of electrical, electronic,mechanical and networks domains
- Understanding of Lean approach for Industrialization
