Job Title: Maintenance Engineering Technician (1377294)

Who We're Looking For:

Our Client's Production Engineering Battery Department is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Maintenance Engineering Technician. The primary responsibility of this position is to execute as the North American machine setup personnel, increase Operation Availability through continuous improvement, and solve technical issues. The successful candidate must exhibit leadership values, including respect for people and a commitment to continuous improvement.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Test and repair electrical equipment or systems, including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, and servo drives.
  • Write, program, troubleshoot, modify, and/or repair programmable logic controllers, robotics, cameras, and other electronic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair safety systems, machine components, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Plan and execute machine integration into mass production, ensuring leveling, adjustment, and quality conformation for the assigned work area.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks, including documentation of work performed through written and electronic methods.
  • Continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity through effective problem-solving.
  • Develop detailed schedules (denwacho) for assigned work areas/projects.
  • Participate in project planning with Engineering teams.
  • Support machine production trials at vendors and internally within the organization.
  • Certify the safety of equipment per MMR/MMS (NFPA79 and ISO standards) through Safety Integrity Checks.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equipment installation and debugging experience.
  • Proficient in electrical and/or mechanical systems within an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Technical experience with PLCs, i ncluding the ability to read, write, and modify logic.
  • Experience with Servo Motion Controllers and relay logic, including wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Technical experience with robotics, including programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic troubleshooting and schematic reading.
  • Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and during shutdowns as required.
  • Willingness to travel for business, both domestically and internationally, up to 30%.

Added Bonus If You Have:

  • A technical associate degree or higher, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in pre-production setup.
  • Familiarity with production processes, including Standardized Work (STW) and Job Instruction Sheets (JIS).
  • Experience in gathering and analyzing quality data from multiple sources.
  • New plant or facility startup experience.
  • Experience with high-volume production in a clean room environment.
