Details:

• Pay for this position is 31.00 to 36.00 hourly.
• This position is a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent.
• Location: North Chicago, IL

Requirements:

• Chemistry background is preferred
• Experience with HPLC instrumentation
• Experience maintaining lab equipment
• Experience with any type of repair work (use of hand tools) is a plus (does not have to be from a lab)
• Calibration experience is a plus (does not have to be from a lab)

Purpose:

• To maintain, calibrate, service, troubleshoot and repair measuring and test equipment (M&TE), analytical laboratory equipment, and process control systems used in manufacturing, quality assurance, research and development and plant utilities areas.
• Performs skilled calibrations/services on (M&TE) according to written policy and procedures.
• Appropriate documentation of calibration work orders with accuracy and timeliness. Performs repairs on all types of M&TE.
• Processes electronic work orders, house requisitions, miscellaneous purchase orders and various other administrative activities that support daily job functions.
• Completes all necessary qualifications on documents including calibration procedures and standard operating procedures in a timely manner.
