Amergis is seeking a skilled and experienced PMHNP to join our team.

Required Certifications:

• 3+ Years of Experience
• DEA
• BLS
• State Licensure: VA

Job Details:

• No On-Call!
• No at-home charting!
• Start Date: ASAP upon credentialing
• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with 1-hour lunch break

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for patient care, including examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of medical illnesses for adult and geriatric psychiatric inpatient populations
• Serves as a medical consultant to the attending psychiatrist/practitioner
• Completes admission medical assessments (including history and physical examinations, mental status examination) and enters admission orders
• Orders diagnostic/therapeutic tests and procedures
• Monitors patients progress, including laboratory values and special procedures, with appropriate follow-up or referrals as needed
• Consults with authorized representatives/legal guardians on patient medical status
• Collaborates with attending psychiatric practitioners, providing DSM-5 diagnoses that are valid, complete, and supported by timely and appropriate assessment
• Ensures timely and quality documentation (admissions, follow-up, and annual assessments) in patient records in accordance with policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and guidelines
