Gastroenterology Locums Job in Central Virginia Seeking Clinic + Endo-Suite Coverage Monday - Friday

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a central Virginia facility (about an hour away from Richmond) that is seeking two Gastroenterologists to help with a mix of outpatient only & inpatient only coverage in 2025. The facility has specific dates (detailed below) for their outpatient/scoping needs + inpatient 24-hour call coverage needs.

Seeking outpatient (clinic and/or outpatient endo-suite) coverage on weekdays from 8A-5P on the following dates:
Monday, 2/3 at 8AM - Friday, 2/7 at 5PM
Monday, 3/17 at 8AM - Friday, 3/21 at 5PM
Monday, 3/24 at 8AM - Friday, 3/28 at 5PM
Thursday, 4/24 at 8AM - Friday, 4/25 at 5PM
Monday, 4/28 at 8AM - Friday, 5/2 at 5PM
+ Future Q2 dates will be released ASAP
Seeking inpatient (hospital ED) coverage from 7A - 7A:
Monday, 3/24 at 8AM - Monday, 3/3 at 7AM
Monday, 3/24 at 7AM - Monday, 3/31 at 7AM
Monday, 4/14 at 7AM - Monday, 4/21 at 7AM
+ Future Q2 dates will be released ASAP
Details/Requirements Assignment :
Active and unrestricted Virginia license + DEA required
Board Certification required
While covering call: will be covering ED, non-attached patients & completing daily patient rounding, new consults, emergent procedures
While covering outpatient, will be working from 8A-5P in either setting depending on weekly scheduling needs
Clinic volume: 20-25 patients per day + Endo-suite (scope) volume: 14-16 procedures/day
ED/Inpatient volume: 8-10 PPD
100% adult patient population
Procedure requirements: EGD. Colonoscopy.
ERCP & EUS training/experience is NOT required, however, the facility will have cases for you if you are skilled in ERCP/EUS
Will work alongside a large internal physician group that employs 15 GIs + 8 GI APPs
Facility detail: 145+ beds, Epic EMR, Level III Trauma Center
