Volt is immediately hiring for PV&V Electrification Test Engineer, in Fargo ND 58102
 
As an PV&V Electrification Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Gather and format test requirements from internal and external customers with assistance from others. Review and provide proper feedback about the requirements.
• Perform and oversee, with assistance, the performance of power electronic Product Verification and Validation testing performed internally or externally.
• Employ troubleshooting and debugging strategies; determine root cause with support from others and provide support in troubleshooting.

 
Education :

• Minimum B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Ag Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited engineering program or equivalent.

 
Skills and Experience Required :

• Understanding of the basics of embedded controllers
• Understanding of safe higher voltage practices
• Understanding of motor control and system testing
• Understanding of the basics of design validation

 
Desired:

• Experience with product development
• Understanding of motor control software (PU2)Experience with dynos
• Experience with development and debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.)
• Experience with microcontroller peripherals and systems (e.g., PWM outputs, boot loaders, A/D converters, serial, and parallel interfaces, etc.)
• Experience with communication networks (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/485, etc.)
• Experience with communication protocols (e.g., J1939, ISO11783, TCP/IP, etc.)

Pay rate: $45/hr. to $50/hr.
