This individual will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on daily scanner performance, addressing scanner issues, and traveling to various sites to resolve any emergencies related to broken scanners. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to collaborate across departments. Key Responsibilities: Daily Monitoring & Reporting: Observe and review daily operational reports to ensure dimensional scanners and barcode scanners are functioning correctly. Report on any discrepancies, errors, or maintenance needs to the IT department and relevant stakeholders. Track and document scanner performance issues and provide recommendations for improvement. Emergency Support & Repairs: Respond to emergency service requests for broken dimensional scanners and barcode scanners, ensuring a 48-hour Service Level Agreement (SLA) is met. Travel to various locations when needed to replace malfunctioning or broken scanners and perform troubleshooting to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Coordinate with local IT and Operations teams to quickly assess and resolve scanner-related issues. Collaboration & Rapport Building: Develop strong working relationships with local Operations teams, QA Process Auditors, and other internal IT teams to foster collaboration and ensure smooth communication regarding scanner performance and issues. Serve as the point of contact for scanner-related concerns, providing timely updates and feedback to all stakeholders. ServiceNow Management: Work within the ServiceNow platform to manage and prioritize service requests on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis. Track and ensure resolution of issues within the required SLA timelines and escalate any challenges or roadblocks as necessary. Site Visits & Maintenance: Perform monthly site visits to surrounding locations to proactively monitor scanner functionality and perform preventive maintenance, if necessary. Conduct regular checks and audits of equipment to ensure systems are running optimally and that all scanners are properly calibrated. Qualifications: Education: Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, preferably within a logistics or distribution environment and experience with MHE/Conveyor SystemsExperience with barcode scanners and/or dimensional scanners is highly preferred, specifically with Mettler Toledo, Cognex and Cubiscan.Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools for tracking and managing service requests. Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with hardware devices such as barcode scanners, dimensional scanners, and other IT equipment. Basic knowledge of networking and system integration is a plus. Ability to work with and manage both hardware and software-based systems. Other Skills & Abilities: Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop rapport and build strong working relationships across teams. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently. Ability to handle emergency situations and work under pressure to meet SLA requirements. Willingness to travel to Sort Center sites, as required. Work Environment: This position requires both office-based work and on-site visits to various Sort Centers and branches, which may involve light physical activity such as lifting and moving equipment. Travel is required up to 30% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
