Here at ScolioAustin, we are a cash-based practice, looking for a dynamic physical therapist who is not only passionate about helping patients with musculoskeletal and postural conditions but also seeking better work-life balance. As a cash-based clinic, our therapists have a full hour with each patient and an hour and a half for evaluations. Our team of physical therapists have been provided with advanced certifications in the Schroth Method and you would join us as one of only a handful of spine and scoliosis specialists in Texas.
Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of outpatient, orthopedic experience and manual certifications a plus. Our patients have a wide breadth of orthopedic conditions, postural dysfunction, and need for balance, strength, and stability retraining. Our patients range from 10-90 so you will never get bored! To qualify for this position, you must be a licensed physical therapist in the state of Texas, have a driver's license, and be willing to work on-site in Central Austin (with the potential to expand our presence in North Austin for the right candidate). Responsibilities
•Able to efficiently and effectively assess patient's orthopedic injuries to create a plan of care, follow up with re-evaluations in a timely manner, and perform discharge evaluations as appropriate
•Willing to participate in receiving specialized scoliosis training to become a Schroth practitioner
•Able to learn and utilize the EMR system used which is JANEapp for documentation and hourly patient schedule.
•Be willing to participate in other orthopedic programs as they enhance patient care including, but not limited to, osteoporosis, strength training, grade 4 deep tissue medical laser, workshops, community events
•Be willing to participate in creation of social media awareness including, but not limited to, exercise videos, blog clips, social media posts etc.
•Evaluate and interpret findings from the patient's tests results and assessments
•Collaborate with others in the medical field and seek their opinions
•Design therapeutic strategies that integrate many approaches and techniques to meet individual patient needs
•Utilize physical therapy on patients to ease discomfort and increase mobility as prescribed by doctor
•Ensure that patient care records are correct, and adhere to all regulations and guidelines
•Ask patients about their physical status, including any injuries or mobility concerns
Qualifications
•Must have a bachelor's degree or higher and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
•This position requires passage of the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
•This position requires excellent analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills
•Some experience working in a healthcare facility or clinic with patients is preferred
•Current state licensure in the state you practice
