Taft is seeking an eDiscovery Project Manager to serve our eDiscovery Services team in Taft's Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis or Minneapolis office.
We are seeking an eDiscovery Project Manager with 3 to 5 years' experience to support our eDiscovery Services team in the Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Denver, Detroit, Indianapolis or Minneapolis office. Essential Duties:
- Provides and maintains accurate, proactive, and concise communication and record keeping on all project details, including project specifications, reports, and deliverables.
- Consults with legal teams to guide decision making aligned with best practices across the EDRM.
- Prepares budgets and monitor fees throughout the lifecycle of a matter.
- Advocates for and communicate the value of Taft Discovery services.
- Develops and execute litigation support projects with accuracy, on-time and within the estimated budget.
- Reviews and reports on and document quality control measures and progress of processing, review, and production of data.
- Assists members of the firm with basic and advanced end-user functionality during all phases of the e-discovery process.
- Ensures security of all data by tracking the custody, control, and status of data within the project management software, and storing and archiving data in accordance with firm department policies and procedures.
- Maintains a record of actions, utilizing the Analyst tracking application, and all project management related forms and applications deployed by the Taft Discovery Group, allowing for the identification and tracking of data during all phases of the data lifecycle, from receipt to archival, as applicable.
- Analyzes workflows for process improvement and efficiency opportunities.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple, concurrent assignments under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience and skilled at proactively anticipating client needs.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of Relativity, version Server 2021 or above is required.
- Proficient in the application of the standards of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
- Proficient in the application of the principles of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS).
- Analytical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work under a high level of mental effort and strain to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Willingness to work non-standard shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends in order to meet deadlines as needed.
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and maintain an irregular work schedule is often required.
- Personal effectiveness and credibility, collaboration, and teamwork is required.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail while working efficiently and effectively.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, staff and others on the telephone, in person, and in writing.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three to five years serving in a project management role, demonstrating effective delegation of litigation support tasks to other members of a team, using Relativity in a law firm or e-discovery service provider environment.
- Knowledge of the entire EDRM from collections through production.
